Over 30 years ago, Norman “Chip” Separk, founder of CS Recognition Solutions, began his career in the recognition industry. As an employee of a large recognition company, Chip studied the fundamentals of performance improvement and recognition. His earliest focus was on employee service awards, a field in which he learned the importance of hands-on customer service. His entrepreneurial desire and the need to bring a more personalized level of service led him to create a recognition business of his own.

Over the years, Chip has seen the recognition industry evolve from standard certificate and lapel pin awards into more participant-centric choice and point-based programs. The tools to deliver the programs have progressed to high-powered online platforms with advanced performance reporting and tracking capabilities.
